One Pot Homemade Burger Pasta

One pot meals are a life saver in the rush of a busy week or any day you want a delicious comforting meal in 30 minutes or less.

Everyone is familiar with a certain brand of pre-packaged pasta dish that requires only browning of meat, adding all the contents of the box and some milk and water. This dish is reminiscent of that, but without the extra chemicals and additives. Falkner Farms ground beef is the perfect addition to this comforting dish.

I lb. pasta of your choice, (macaroni, fusilli, corkscrew pasta) 1 lb. Falkner Farms ground beef 1 small onion chopped 1 tsp minced garlic 1 TBSP ketchup 1 TBSP Worcestershire sauce 2 tsp yellow mustard ½ tsp ground pepper seasoned salt to taste 4 c. water *4 tsp. beef bouillon (see note) 1 c. half and half or milk 8 oz. sour cream **2 c. cheese of your choice, shredded (sharp cheddar and American work well)

Brown ground beef in a Dutch oven or deep skillet. Add chopped onion and garlic and cook on medium heat until onion is soft, approximately 5-7 minutes. Add all remaining ingredients except sour cream and cheese. Bring to a low boil. Cover, reduce heat to medium low and cook for 12-14 minutes or until pasta is al dente. Stir in cheese and sour cream. Serve.

Serves: 4 dinner portions

This recipe was tested using Better Than Bouillon brand beef flavored bouillon.

This recipe was tested using 1 c. sharp cheddar cheese and 6 American cheese slices.

The ground beef did not render much fat when cooked, and therefore there was no need to drain fat before adding the rest of the ingredients.
